Psych Up

Carton Dieline

This project has easily been one of the biggest undertakings that I've worked on in the entire year. Not only did I have to make the dieline, but I had to fill in the dieline with the information given my supplement. The supplement itself, Psych Up, gives whoever takes it psychic powers. That is the reason why I decided to make the bent spoon the logo. It's fitting, as 'psychics' are known to bend spoons (I guess they don't like cereal). The logo itself was made in Illustrator, as well as everything else you see in this post.

Bottle Dieline

This is the dieline for a product that works for bottles. The bottle itself would go within the carton, aka the dieline that I made on the top. With this, I usually just used a majority of the assets from the original carton design. This one was significantly easier to make, but it is just as important to the final design

3D Design

Finally, it's the final product where I brought everything together. This is the 3D revolution of 2 shapes (but copied one and changed the mapped art to show the other half of the box. I did this because it's a relatively easy way to show your client what your final product without having to go into some big and complex program, like autoCAD or Maya.

Physical Final

This is the final part of the project, the physical box! I sent it off to print and ended up cutting out my dieline to create an actual box just like how it would look on a store's shelf. All in all, an amazing final product to an amazing final project!

Reflection

In the end, this was definitely one of the hardest and most problem solving based projects I've ever done. But at the same time, I also feel so rewarded for getting something so good from all that work. It's a good final product and something that I can say wholeheartedly that I'm proud proud to have made this final product. I learned a lot of important tips and tricks while making this product that will stay with me for the rest of my graphic design career.
