I'll be ranking them each on various categories, including accessibility, quality of images, ability to search, among others. For constancy, I'll also be showing off my favorite images from each respective website
morguefile
Starting with morguefile, it's been a favorite by many people for a long time. It is very accessible, and is simple to start up. My biggest problem right off the bat is the fact that it seems like it has a big problem with quality over quantity. The image quality is okay, but there seem to be more low quality images or ones that don't relate as much to what I search. Downloading images works just fine, so no complaining from here. The website itself has existed for quite a long time so they have a large selection of images available, so for most things you need to find are there. I highly recommend this website.pexels
Next is pexels. This website has the best layout out of all 4 of the website in this battle of the images. The images themselves are also very high quality and I tend to regularly find good images for possible use in projects in the future. A downside is that many of the images are very much human based and have a lot less environmental images, though that doesn't mean they don't have any. The other websites are gonna have to step up their game to beat this website.gratisography

Coming up next is gratisography. Right off the bat, this website definitely the weirdest of all the images. I don't see how any of these images will have many conventional use for these images. Many of these almost look like they belong in some kind of art show. The website also doesn't have a search which made it very hard to find certain images. This website definitely is more for fun instead of real use. This website is probably a good way to spend a couple free hours at least. I couldn't actually find any images of rockets so I just chose my favorite one.
Ignoring the lack of capitalization for the website names, which is understandable, the format of your post is better then mine (mine is in a single column for the most part..) and I like that you had a end paragraph.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job at explaining your research and what you found.
