End of 2016-Reflection

Introduction

2016 has been something else, huh? From current events to current projects, 2016 is coming to a close. Because of this, I would like to take a moment and look back at my various projects from throughout the year.

The Research

A lot of the beginning of this school year was spent with me doing research. Research on demographics, research on photos and how to make them interesting, and mostly: research on various portfolio designs. Using this research, I was able to find out what people like and what they don't like, and how to create websites like that. Using this knowledge, I could go ahead and create something that I'm proud of and that other people will enjoy using as well.

The Portfolio

Working on the portfolio was hard. Really hard. The design process was long, hard, but also fairly rewarding. When it came to design, it took many different iterations, both on paper, and on computer. When coding it, it took quite awhile to find a design that looked good on computers at various sizes, so I ended up just scrapping the whole thing. In the end, I decided to just go back to the drawing board and come back with a fresh new idea and a new design. I decided to go with a cork board design, due to its more simplistic, but still visually appealing design. I was able to really flex my creative muscles in ways that I haven't been able to in a long time. Any comments or criticisms would be great!
